The much-awaited film Ramayan has been in the news for a long time. Since the name of the film was announced, it has been making headlines in the media. The big budget has become the most talked about topic. The film is being made at a cost of 4 thousand crores. With its 2 parts coming up, it is going to be the most expensive Indian film. However, South superstar and co-producer of the film Yash has given an account of this budget.
Yash explained in an interview that the 4 thousand crores is not only for the production of the film, but also includes the promotion and release expenses of the film. He said, “This calculation is also done in Hollywood. There, the film production budget is spent on promotion equal to or more than that. Because they do global marketing. We also adopt the same strategy.
Yash further said that such big steps are necessary to take Indian cinema to the world. He said, “Cinema is a ‘soft power’. Films like ‘Ramayan’ and ‘Toxic’ are an attempt to give Indian cinema a new identity in the world. Also, Yash’s words show that the producers are not at all worried about this huge budget. They are sure that the film will make a good profit.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram. On the other hand, Yash himself is playing the role of Ravana. The first part of the film is scheduled to be released in India on November 8, 2026 (Diwali). It will be released abroad two days earlier, i.e. on November 6. It has been reported that the second part of the film will be released on Diwali 2027.
