Amidst the uncertainty over visas, Indian students are now showing interest in studying at foreign university campuses in the country. Such programs will reduce the expenses of students. About 68% of 1,010 students who participated in a survey prepared by Emirates said that they are interested in enrolling in campus programs offered by international universities in India. The survey was conducted among students aged 15 to 28 in major Indian cities. This trend is currently being seen among students deciding on higher education. 69% of students enrolled in undergraduate programs or preparing for post-graduates said that they would like to enroll in a foreign program in India instead of going abroad to avoid visa uncertainty.

Considering cost concerns, issues with immigration rules and the difficulty of settling abroad, the survey report shows that students are looking to study abroad while staying in the country. According to 72% of the students who participated in the survey, there is a huge difference in the cost of studying at the same foreign university’s off-campus and Indian campuses. While foreign campuses cost more for the same education, it is much less in India. Families also consider the cost of studying abroad in India to be a good investment. According to the report, students in India are increasingly choosing overseas campus programs over online ones. According to the report, overseas campuses and hybrid education models in India are not just seen as alternatives to studying abroad. Gen-Z has started adopting it as a preferred learning tool.
