As September draws to a close, cinema lovers are eagerly awaiting the list of Bollywood films scheduled for release next month. Since October brings long weekends and the festive season, filmmakers are lining up several new releases for the big screen. The lineup includes a range of films, from Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated ‘Drishyam 3’ to Yami Gautam’s ‘Nai Naveli’. 1 – Drishyam 3
Ajay Devgn will once again be seen reprising the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, making every possible effort to save his family. The actor is set to create a stir at the box office with the final installment of his blockbuster franchise, ‘Drishyam’. Abhishek Pathak is directing ‘Drishyam 3’ (or ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’). Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta will reprise their respective roles in the film. Additionally, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj are making their debut in the franchise with this movie. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2nd.
2 – Prem Keetanu
After a year-long hiatus, Veer Pahariya is returning to the big screen with ‘Prem Keetanu’. This is his second film following ‘Sky Force’, which was released in 2025. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, ‘Prem Keetanu’ tells the story of college students navigating the ups and downs of life, love, and their careers. The film is set to release in theaters on October 2nd.
3- Udta Teer
Directed by Aakash Kaushik, ‘Udta Teer’ is a comedy film centered on the story of a Pakistani spy. He enters India on a major mission, but due to an accident, he loses his memory and transforms into an Indian patriot. ‘Udta Teer’ features Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Sandeep Anand, Supriya Pilgaonkar, and Smita Tambe. It is set to release in theaters on October 9.
4- Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam
‘Prahaar’ is a biopic of lawyer Ujjwal Nikam. He fought the case against Ajmal Kasab regarding the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Rajkummar Rao plays the lead role in this film, while Lalit Prabhakar portrays Kasab. Directed by Avinash Arun, the film also features Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher. This biopic will hit the screens on October 16.
5- Nai Naveli
Yami Gautam plays the lead role in the film ‘Nai Naveli’. The story revolves around a ‘perfect daughter-in-law’ who transforms a chaotic household in Meerut into a paradise. However, her brother-in-law begins to suspect that this seemingly ideal sister-in-law might actually be a witch. Directed by Balaji Mohan and written by Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma, the film also features Adinath Kothare. It is set to release on October 16.
6- Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar
Luv Ranjan is launching six new actors in Bollywood with his upcoming production venture, ‘Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar’. The film features Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Baid, Sargun Kaur Luthra, and Tushar Chhibber in lead roles. It presents modern romance with a fresh twist. ‘Pahla Pyaar Doosri Baar’ will be released on October 23.
