Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, ‘Ghamasaan’. The film features Arshad Warsi and Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. In a recent interview, Dhulia revealed that Pratik Gandhi was not his first choice for the film; he had actually wanted to cast Shah Rukh Khan and had even offered him the role, but ‘King Khan’ declined the offer.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Tigmanshu Dhulia mentioned that after the script for ‘Ghamasaan’ was completed, he narrated it to Shah Rukh Khan. Pratik Gandhi plays the role of a police officer in the film—a role Dhulia had originally envisioned for Shah Rukh Khan. He said that when he wrote the script for this film, he approached Shah Rukh Khan for the role that Pratik Gandhi is now playing.
Tigmanshu further mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan listened to the story—and after all, he is Shah Rukh Khan; he has a heart as vast as a football field. He added that the two of them have known each other for a long time; he had even played the role of Shah Rukh’s father in the film Zero. Shah Rukh listened to the script and told him, “Look, Tishu, I don’t do this kind of realistic film.”
