The Mohan Yadav government in Madhya Pradesh is set to present a major gift to students who excelled in Class 12 at government higher secondary schools. On the 19th of this month, the government will gift e-scooters to over 7,500 meritorious students. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute e-scooters to the eligible students under the ‘Chief Minister’s Scooter Scheme’ at an event in Bhopal. This state-level program will commence at 10:00 AM at the Government Subhash Excellence Higher Secondary School in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal.
The objective of this scheme is to encourage school students to achieve academic success. To avail the benefits of the scheme, students must secure at least 70% marks in Class 12 in their first attempt and also secure the first position in their school. The benefits of the scheme are extended to students studying as regular students in government higher secondary schools under the School Education and Tribal Affairs Departments.
Students from all academic streams are included in this scheme. Under this scheme, more than 7,500 eligible students across the state will receive the benefit of an e-scooter for the 2025-26 academic session. To date, over 23,000 eligible students have benefited from this scheme. Approximately ₹246 crore has been spent so far on the implementation of the scheme.
