National Film Awards Winners
The names of the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards were already announced last July. This time, many popular films and artists will be awarded in various categories. The film ‘Article 370’ has been selected as the best feature film. Yami Gautam, who plays the lead role in this film, will get the best actress award. Similarly, Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Bollywood actor Karthik Aryan will jointly receive the Best Actor award for their performances in ‘Brahma Yugam’ and ‘Chandu Champion’ respectively.
Actor-director Randeep Hooda will be awarded the Best Debut Director award for the film ‘Swathi Veer Savarkar’. Based on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Randeep Hooda has acted as well as directed in this film. Telugu film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will be awarded the Best Popular Film for Total Entertainment. On the other hand, Tamil film ‘Captain Miller’, directed by Arun Matheswaran and starring Dhanush, will be honored as the Best Feature Film promoting national, social and environmental values.
