Utkarsh Hazarika from Assam has earned a place in the India Book of Records thanks to his extraordinary memory and learning ability, despite not yet having turned two years old. This young prodigy from Sonarigaon in Morigaon district is currently the talk of the town.
At just one year and eleven months of age, Utkarsh is able to identify numerous objects and answer various questions. He also demonstrates an exceptional capacity to retain information. His talent reflects the care and encouragement his family has provided regarding his early learning.
According to the India Book of Records certificate, Utkarsh can identify 22 types of food items, 28 types of fruits, 28 types of birds, various vegetables, and 28 types of musical instruments. Similarly, he can name 12 types of flowers, 11 professions, 26 body parts, 25 celestial objects, and 16 monuments. Not only that, but he can also name the days of the week, months of the year, the eight planets, and the seven continents. He can recite 10 nursery rhymes and name words associated with the letters of the English alphabet. He also possesses knowledge about India’s 17 national symbols. Additionally, he can demonstrate 22 different facial expressions and gestures, and count from 1 to 20.
According to Utkarsha’s mother, regular learning, playtime, and constant encouragement have played a vital role in nurturing his talent. He was once shown India’s national symbols. When asked about those symbols two or three days later, Utkarsha was able to correctly name two or three of them. Recognizing their son’s extraordinary memory, the family encouraged him further. His learning process was nurtured through play and enjoyment, alongside the regular introduction of new things.
This achievement by Utkarsha at such a young age is a matter of pride not only for his family but for the entire state of Assam. Utkarsha stands as an example of how a child’s interest in learning can flourish when their talent is recognized and encouraged from an early age.
