Pakistan was fueling the student movement! Exam question paper leak and protests are going on all over the country. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has identified and blocked more than 480 Pakistani social media handles that were spreading rumors and false information. Police have informed that these accounts were trying to malign India’s reputation even during ‘Operation Sindoor’. According to information given by Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Sumit Jha, taking advantage of the situation created due to the NEET exam in the country, some anti-social elements and foreign accounts were spreading fake content. These handles were also active during ‘Operation Sindoor’. The main aim of these is to mislead students and create unrest.
In view of the seriousness of the situation, Delhi Police has issued a precautionary advisory for the general public, especially students and their guardians. Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha said, “Students and parents should not be influenced by objectionable posts or edited videos coming from any unclear or unknown accounts. Please fact-check before sharing any information.” Delhi Police has clarified that peaceful democratic protest is the right of every citizen and the police respects it. However, the police has appealed to the general public to stay away from rumours and trust only information from reliable and official sources.
