Shailene Woodley has won her first Emmy Award for Guest Actress in a Drama Series. She received this honor for her performance in the second season of ‘Paradise’. Winning this award on the second evening of the Emmy ceremony is considered a major milestone in Shailene’s career. Before this, she was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for HBO’s popular series ‘Big Little Lies’.
Apple’s dominance can also be seen in this Emmy. Apple TV’s comedy-horror show ‘Widows Bay’ has won a total of 8 Emmy Awards. With this, Apple has won a record 20 awards in various categories of the Emmys. ‘South Park’ has won the award in the category of Outstanding Animated Program. Rob Reiner of ‘The Bear’ has been honored as Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Similarly, Ernest Harden Jr. of ‘The Pit’ has won the award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
The award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series went to Betty Gilpin for ‘Widows Bay’. ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ has been honored in the category of Outstanding Movie. Several actors have also won Emmy Awards in the Limited Series category. David Harbour won the award for best supporting actor for ‘DTF St. Louis’ and Linda Cardellini won the award for best supporting actress for the same series.
